CELLAR WORKER

We are seeking qualified candidates for a Cellar Worker to join our team in Gardiner, NY.
The Cellar Worker will report directly to our winemaker, and will assist him in setting up equipment and monitoring wine fermentations, pumping wines to tanks and barrels, chemical additions and sanitation.
Responsibilities will include the various duties relating to wine production and processes, wash down and clean up, specified equipment maintenance, and sanitizing the work area. This position will also cover support with inventory of materials required for production and bottling, will assist in wine inventory in bottle and tank, as well as, responsibility for bottling, corking and labeling. In addition, the Cellar Worker will operate a forklift and assist throughout the crush and winemaking process, including operate presses, filters and other winery equipment and may provide assistance as needed in vineyard work.
Qualified candidates will be able to work in a cold environment, work on concrete floors for long periods of time, must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs., and be able to take on extended hours during harvest time.

We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Must be 21 years of age. Minimum of one year experience in wine processing or related field/industry preferred. Must have the ability to work extended hours, and to follow work orders and written instructions. Qualified candidates will be able to read, write, speak and understand English. They must be certified, or able to be certified, in forklift operation.
